🏃‍♀️ Girls on the Run!

This fall, students at all three of our elementary schools have been building confidence, teamwork, and perseverance through the Girls on the Run program. Last week, our teams completed a “practice 5K” at their schools in preparation for the big event — a regional 5K taking place this weekend with Girls on the Run teams from across the area.

We’re so proud of these girls and their coaches for all of their hard work and dedication! 💪💜

Today, our Byrd community came together to honor and thank the Veterans who have served our country. We are so grateful to the incredible Veterans who spent time with our students—sharing their stories, answering questions, and helping our children understand what it means to serve (Mr. Meyers, Mr. Bodin, Mr. Meiller, Mr. Fulton, and Ms. Peltz).

A heartfelt thank you to Christine Fauver, who brightened our halls once again dressed as a bomber girl and read to students throughout the day. Thank you also to Lorraine Christ from the American Legion Auxiliary, who dedicated her entire day to coordinating our Veteran visitors and sharing American flags with every student.

We are deeply appreciative of all who made this special day possible and to every Veteran in our community—thank you for your service and sacrifice.
