🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵🟣 Make Your Mark! 🟣🔵🟢🟡🟠🔴

BES celebrated International Dot Day, a day inspired by Peter H. Reynolds’ beloved book The Dot and its message of creativity, courage, and believing in where one small mark can lead! 🎨✨

Mrs. Fairservice shared The Dot with students, and classes explored their creativity by making their own unique dots using a variety of materials, mediums, and techniques. Mrs. Parrish helped students learn more about author and illustrator Peter H. Reynolds and discover more books in The Dot series. 📚

Our celebration came together in one BIG collaborative creation—our very own Dot Room! The stage was transformed into a white canvas, and every student was invited to “make their mark” by adding colorful dots throughout the space. By the end, hundreds of individual dots had become one amazing work of art! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Dot Day reminds us that creativity can begin with something as simple as a single dot—and that every child has something special to contribute. We loved watching our Byrd Eagles make their marks! 🦅🎨
