Good evening Byrd family,
We hope you had a wonderful weekend.
SOL’s start this week. The schedule is posted on our school website. Parents can help students perform their best on the year end assessments by making sure they get a good night sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and have a great start to the day.
If there are any changes to your child’s transportation, then please send a note to the office. Also, please try to limit early dismissals if possible, especially for students taking SOL tests.
Did you know research has shown that students’ reading abilities decline over the summer when they are out of school and not reading on a regular basis? Help prevent this reading decline by signing your student up for the summer reading program by May 15th. Students brought the flier home last week, and it can be found on our website. Please sign your student up for the summer reading program by completing the back of the flier and returning it to school!
Thank you for reading, and have a great week!
